Charming village/historic district surrounded by open space, trails and upscale homes.

The town of Niwot, located ten minutes from Boulder and five minutes from Longmont, is a friendly, quiet community in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Residents enjoy a charming village lifestyle that includes award-winning restaurants, shops, festivals, parades and events throughout the year.

Named for Chief Niwot, an Arapaho Indian leader, this small community was an important early railroad link to markets in Wyoming and Denver. The Niwot Historic District includes buildings constructed in the early 1900s and the oldest operating Grange in Colorado.

Niwot is home of the tree sculpture park in the heart of downtown. The sculpture park showcases the talent of Eddie Running Wolf and his homage to the Native American tribe that lived in this valley, from whom Niwot got their name.
